Our ZCT elves have been super busy sourcing a sack load of projects for you and your teams to pick from! Whether sprinkling trees with tinsel, wrapping presents with ribbon, or spreading joy with a jolly party - we have lots of ways you can make it a tree-mendous Christmas in your community!
With a mixture of virtual and face-to-face projects, and up to £500 provided per challenge, it couldn't be easier!

CARD1F Winter Wellbeing!
The Challenge
4Winds would love for a small team to attend one of their peer support groups, meet some of the people that they support and hand out 50 winter wellbeing gift bags. This will help to boost their wellbeing during the dark winter months after a tough time living through the pandemic and ongoing cost of living crisis. Ideas for items for the bag could include scented candles, relaxing toiletries, herbal teas, and festive treats. Are you up to the challenge and ready to deliver the goodies?
4Winds User Led Association
4Winds is an independent user-led mental health charity, working to improve mental health and wellbeing in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. They have been providing a range of accessible, person centred mental health support services since 1997, helping people work towards recovery and achieve positive outcomes.

CARD2F Festive Boxes of Family Fun!
The Challenge
Boomerang would love for a team to create around 15 festive family fun boxes to help make the first Christmas of a re-homed family, a special one with their children. Let your imagination go wild whilst creating these boxes of fun and include festive DVDs, board games, word-search books, colouring books and pencils, cards, and other games, plus of course some sweet treats, chocolate and popcorn too! Many of these families have been homeless, for a number of years, so this would add even more excitement to their festive season!
Boomerang Cardiff
Boomerang Cardiff has been an ongoing and ever evolving project since their inception in 2016. They focus on areas of poverty and deprivation and have a passion to alleviate such strains. Under the umbrella of Boomerang, they provide support in five key areas: Homelessness/Prevention of homelessness, In work poverty/Material deprivation, Social isolation/Loneliness, Community engagement/Education and Health/Physical wellbeing.

CARD3F Deck The Halls!
The Challenge
A Cardiff Festive Challenge classic! The charity would love it if a team of volunteers could help by decorating the hospice to start the festive season off! They have a wish list of decorations that they would like to replace some of their older ones that are past their festive best. Of course, it will all need to be done in advance of the big day and they'd ideally like this completed around mid-November!
City Hospice
City Hospice is at the heart of Cardiff, providing medical, nursing and end of life care to patients, as well as support to their families.

CARD4F Kids Festive Selection!
The Challenge
The Kids Cancer Charity would love it if you could provide 50 large selection boxes for the children they support, that are affected by cancer. These will be distributed by their play therapists, who take great delight in delivering these to the children and seeing their faces light up!
Kids Cancer Charity
Kids Cancer Charity was established by a group of parents whose children had been diagnosed with cancer, and whose experiences had highlighted the drastic lack of information and support available to them. The charity's aims are to improve the quality of life for children affected by cancer and to support their families through the unimaginable stress that they live with daily.

CARD5F Festive Pamper Hampers!
The Challenge
The charity would love you to provide 20-25 Christmas shoe boxes / pamper hampers for distribution (early December) to their clients, to add some sparkle to their Christmas. These hampers, although small, will be a perfect treat to people that need a festive boost. The charity will guide you as to what types of items you might include.

The Nelson Trust helps women thrive in their community and supports individuals recovering from addiction.
